Summer!

Summer fun has come to an end! Boo Hoo! Such a fantastic trip to Durango, Colorado. It was unusually cold that trip, but our accommodations were right downtown, a full condo with lots to do. We caught a movie one day, went to the Children's museum, and got 2 days of Bouldering at Turtle Lake. It felt so wonderful to have the girls out climbing with us. Durango is a cool little town with great food and drink. I enjoyed my morning runs through the town. Our camera broke on the trip, so we can only have the memories that are in our minds! We got to go over to Will's sister Emily's house and meet her boyfriend Scott and lots of her nice friends. She seems to have a great little network out there and we are so happy for her and her independence. Scott is a really fun guy and he seems to care a lot about her. On the way home we stopped at the sand dunes and had a blast despite the 120 mile an hour winds! Too Fun! The kids did incredible in Will's new 4 door Titan! That is the only reason I will ever profess to like it~ b/c it's huge!

Summer back in Boulder was filled with lots of friends, BBQs, early morning runs and some gym time for climbing. The kids wrapped up most of their activities and took on swimming lessons at our pool. It has been nice to see the progression of Lucette's swimming at this pool over the past 6 years. Violet is now swimming without any floating devices and Marlowe likes the water the best out of all 3 babies at that age. We went to a Rockies 4th of July firework game and the girls loved it! We also traveled to San Diego. We stayed in an amazing resort on the bay and we ventured to Sea World, traveling by water taxi, Lego Land and San Diego Zoo's Safari Park. It was a week of lifelong memories for the kids and i am so glad we got to expose them to so much fun. Legoland was a hit for Will and I, who usually shy of them parks. I have to say the food was good and it was so clean and family friendly!

Spring into Summer!

Well we haven't skipped a beat since we had Marlowe and it is really nice to be maternity leave until August. We have been having lots of adventures with the kids and it is the last summer before Lucette goes to school and is in a locked down schedule. Will is busy with lots of home projects and continues to amaze me with his talents.

Updates for all:

Lucette- 5 1/2- Lucette graduated from SHJ Pre-K program and is reading little books. She practices her letters and sounds and is very eager to learn. She has an amazing creative side and can draw like a 3rd grader? She loves to draw princesses and families with a mom and dad and 3 little girls. She participated in ballet classes this spring and had her recital. She has a little stage fright, so we were really proud that she got out there in front of 300 people and performed her routine with her class. She has also consisitently been taking gymnastics and is really coordinated and having fun with it. Will and I have been trying to take her rock climbing once a week, and she is a natural. She lost her first tooth in June and the tooth fairy brough her a piece of chocolate and a $2.00 bill. She is a loving, compassionate little girl and a great big sister to Violet and Marlowe. She helps me every step of the way and beleive me it is awesome! She apsired to be a dentist and now wants to be a dolphin trainer.

Violet- 3 1/2- Violet finished up her school year at Mt. Zion and will start a new school this fall. She likes to do whatever Lucette is doing and I cannot believe how creative her play is. She is either a pegasus with sparkly wings or a prince that kisses his princess on their wedding day. She loves to play dress up. She is super funny and says things that will make you belly laugh. She is our "drama" queen and we never know what's going to happen. She is always up for a challenge and is willing to try new things. She enjoyed ballet and Gymnastics this spring. She had an incredible ballet performance and stole the show.

Marlowe- 4 months. Marlowe is our living doll. She is just so cute! She loves to watch her big sisters and enjoys walks in the stroller and being held, talked to and laying under the trees. She is not sleeping through the night, but somehow this doesn't bother me, and I love the cuddle time in the middle of the night.

Will and Jenni- Will is in another new position at work. I continue to be very proud of his progress. He went from having over 300 people reporting to him to a smaller number and helping to integrate a newly purchased company into his. It is more GIS focused and he likes the new challenges and the future this may bring. He just built a new deck, garden, fence and his skills remind me of his Grandfather~who would be so proud. I think a little part of him knows that he is looking down and smiling on the hard work Will does for his family. I am busy with the girls, making sure they have the best fun spirited adventures through life. We are still meeting with my amazing mom's group and I have been enjoying my book club. I have started to climb a lot once again and realize that this is a passion that brings me happiness that I cannot describe. Maybe it's the free-spirited community and "girl power" that inspires me, or maybe it is the ripped physiques I hope to once again have! Ha! I look at my girls and realize how blessed I am and that will come in due time. The girls got to see me run the Mother's Day 9K, and they looked so proud! This summer I have enjoyed sipping margaritas at the pool with good friends and riding my bike with my family.

So I realize I need to blog about Marlowe Harper LeMaire. I was very nervous about my c-section this time. Although I have been down that road before I still find the process brutal and nerve-racking. Grammy, Mandy and Emily came in for her arrival. Dr. jensen delivered Marlowe. She came into this world so petite and sooo cute! She weighed 6lbs 9 oz. and was 20 inches long. Will got to hang with her and was tearful over his little bundle. She looked a lot like Lucette. It took us to day 3 to name this beautiful new addition. We thought about naming her Clover, Mimi, Margaux, Ren. We also had such a hard time coming up with her middle name. We wanted to honor Will's grandfather. With the name Herman Henry we decided to use the "H" and named her Marlowe Harper. She is our little love!
We Traveled to Virginia when she was 3 months old so we could visit family for Easter and meet the cousins. We had a great time with Grammy and Pap Pap and Rolling and Everett! I have been very sick since having Marlowe and hope to be on the road to recovery. Having a near death infection and 3 rounds of strp has not been fun, but seeing this precious little girl everyday makes it all worth it!

Nutcracker Tea 2010

Christmas 2010

Dreaming of a white Christmas! It was a little warm this Christmas season. We were realy busy with Christmas parties, and holiday fun! We decorated cookies at a charity event for Colorado Cares in Chataqua. We got to see the nutcracker (Vi for the first time), and went to the nutcracker tea at the Boulderado. A very fun tradition with our friends! We even went ice-skating on Chirstmas Eve! I was able to skate by myself and Violet was very brave! We had a holiday celebration where Santa came to visit for Violet's 3rd birthday. There were lots of kiddos there and friends! Santa was a huge hit! Christmas was nice and quiet with our family of four! Santa came and brought us everything on our list! We must of been very good little girls! Some of our highlights were our American Girls from Grammy and Pap Pap, and our pillow pets from Santa!

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving 2010
Thanksgiving fun! It has been such mild fall weather wise. We have been getting out hiking and daddy has been getting out to rock climb quite a bit. Grammy and Pap Pap came out for Thanksgiving. We had a great time! They took us to do many special things and our time spent with them is precious! We made a pie for the first time from scratch! It was a praline pumpkin pie and it was delicious. Jess and Jared also made it to dinner and we are so thankful for our family and friends.
